About the Educational Attainment Specialist Program

United Way of Clallam County and Peninsula College have partnered to create the position of Educational Attainment Specialist. This position was established to support folks in Clallam County who are completing student financial aid applications including the FAFSA and WASFA.

FAFSA connects students to federal and state financial aid, including the Washington College Grant. Currently, Clallam County has some of the lowest FAFSA completion scores in the state, which means our students are leaving money on the table. After identifying this low completion rate in Clallam County, the Washington State Legislature created the FAFSA Liaison position.

Through the Educational Attainment Specialist, United Way of Clallam County is offering both drop-in and informational workshops, as well as other forms of support to help families navigate this process. If you have any questions about completing FAFSA or WASFA, or need assistance navigating the financial aid process please contact Kennedy at collegeaccess@unitedwayclallam.org

You do not need to attend a 4-year university in order to receive financial aid, folks applying to 2-year or CTE programs can also be eligible!
