Your Year End Gift Goes Further with United Way
United Way magnifies the power of giving. Through the Community Care Fund, we are able to combine donations of any amount. From $5 to $5,000, we are able to take donations and divide them up amongst the nonprofit organizations that are working directly in the areas of greatest need in our community right now. Today, that looks like funding new childcare facilities; supporting affordable housing development; connecting young people with money for college and adults with funding for career training; and supporting organizations that provide immediate basic needs like emergency housing, utility payments, and food.
United is the Way we create opportunity for all.
Support for United Way
United Way has been a critical convener; [they’re] at every table. When the community is coming together, [they’re] that glue. For me, the strength of United Way is a mirror of the strength of this community, and it’s been very powerful.
The impact funding was just a gift beyond belief. We had looked at this building that we’re in about 10 years ago. There was no way. We could not do it. And through the impact grant from United Way, we now have this incredible space and a downtown presence.
One of the things I think that is really great about the United Way is it tackles a lot of the issues we have in our community. I focus on our seniors, but I do care about the other things: the kids, literacy, healthy families. And I know that by supporting United Way, I’m also supporting those causes.
United is the Way we build healthier communities.

St. Andrew's Place Impact Story
During United Way of Clallam County's Partner Agency visits in 2023, United Way staff and board members learned that St. Andrew's Place needed to replace the fire / smoke detection system. The expense would be an enormous burden for the nonprofit organization, who had already begun plans for a fundraising event. The United Way Funds Distributions Committee determined that an Impact Grant of $50,000 should be provided...(read more)
Clallam Mosaic's Impact Story
The seed of what would become Clallam Mosaic was planted in 1998, when four sets of parents gathered to consider what they would do when their children graduated from the special education programs offered by Sequim High School. They decided to launch a weekly "Rec Club," which continues to this day. Current Board President Bonnie Smith recalls, “Our partnership with United Way provided us with the funding so that we could bring in folks who could do this programming, who could make a difference.” Read more...
