Dear Friends and Supporters,
As a member of this community, you know that Clallam County residents come together to support each other when we face challenges and embrace opportunities. With potential federal funding cuts and ongoing economic shifts, nonprofits will have to adapt quickly, reevaluate strategies, and work even harder to meet the needs of the individuals and families they serve.
United Way of Clallam County is committed to leading the way to ensure that local nonprofits continue to thrive.

Our Mission
...is to help all residents of our community live safe, healthy, and productive lives. We support Youth Opportunity, Financial Security, and Healthy Community initiatives to address urgent needs and promote resilience, health, and stability for all. We fund nonprofits with grants to support those who are struggling to pay rent, utilities, and buy food. Our non-profit partners rely on donations from a variety of sources including federal funding. While we can’t predict the future, we do know that donations right now will help us to bridge the gap and maintain the stability of the programs that so many depend on.
Clallam County residents are living in poverty...
...at a higher rate than the rest of our state, and a disproportionate number of single adult-led households live below the ALICE threshold. ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) families don't make enough to afford basic needs and they face impossible choices, like whether to pay for utilities, rent, or healthy food.
But it’s during times of uncertainty that the true strength of our community shines through. This is why your ongoing support of local nonprofits is more important than ever. When you give to United Way of Clallam County, you’re not just contributing to a single cause—you’re helping create lasting change for individuals and families across our entire community.
Every gift, no matter the size, helps make Clallam County a better place for us all to live.

As we close out this campaign year, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to each of you who supported us this past year and for your commitment to the well-being of our neighbors. Let’s continue to stand together, rise to the challenges ahead, and make the upcoming campaign year, a year of even greater impact.
Christy Smith,
CEO, United Way of Clallam County
