Let United Way tailor a volunteer experience for you and your staff. We work with our 23 partner agencies to find out exactly where volunteers are most needed and what will make the largest impact.

Types of Volunteer Roles

Volunteers are needed for event assistance, tasks in our office and as committee members. There are also other volunteer opportunities throughout the year, such as the “Days of Caring” when volunteers work with the United Way’s partner agencies, nonprofit organizations, and community groups to complete large-scale projects. The United Way of Clallam County and its partner agencies offer many other ongoing and meaningful volunteer opportunities. Make sure to check out all of the ongoing opportunities below and if you are interested in helping us directly, contact us at info@unitedwayclallam.org.

Helping Others Helps You Too

Gaining a sense of purpose and self-confidence is just the beginning of the benefits that come from volunteering. It can be easy to get caught up in the stress of work, school, and home in this fast-paced world. Volunteering helps bring balance into our busy lives by allowing time to be more focused on others. It’s also a great way to gain new skills, meet like-minded people and form new relationships. All of our volunteer opportunities offer an excellent chance for youth and adults of all ages to give back to our community and improve quality of life for our neighbors in Clallam County.

The 135-mile multi-use Olympic Discovery Trail trail is divided into manageable sections which are maintained by volunteers. These teams are the ones who keep our trail looking so wonderful; mowing, leaf blowing, signs, maps, and kiosk information updates, invasive weed pulling, picking up litter, etc. You can also volunteer to attend or lead additional trail work parties, help at an annual fundraiser or join a committee! We couldn’t have built a single mile of the amazing Olympic Discovery Trail without our wonderful volunteers. Consider being one of them!
